DICE has stated that it cannot put a quit button on Battlefield 1‘s end of round screen, despite protests and complains by players.Responding to a complaint on Reddit, the developer explained that the end of round screen is basically just a loading screen, so players cannot leave until the next map starts, as it’s in the progress of loading the map.
“I’ve answered this in a few other threads already, but what happens during end of round is that we are loading the new level in the background. While the level is being loaded you are unable to quit,” the post reads. “The UI “helpfully” informs you that you can’t quit by hiding the button. Hence, this mess.
DICE added that it could add the ability for players to queue up and quit in a future update, but didn’t 100% promise it would happen.
Battlefield 1 is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
