Crytek the developer of Crysis and Rise: Son of Rome has announced it is to close down five studios as it refocuses on game development and it’s own Game Engine – CryEngine.
The developer will continue to work out of 2 locations Frankfurt and Kiev, but the other 5 studios in Istanbul, Budapest, Sofia, Seoul and Shanghai will no longer be part of Crytek.
The Managing Director of Crytek – Avni Yerli has commented on the decision to close the five studios.

The company said it will continue to support those developer using its CryEngine technology.
