Next Call Of Duty Game May Not Be Set In The Future

A new year means a new COD rumour, and 2017 is no exception. Sledgehammer Games have already begun teasing us about their upcoming Call Of Duty Game. At the moment nothing is known about it, but the snippets that Sledgehammer have released have the gaming community abuzz with opinions.

So what have they released?

On Jan 1st, Sledgehammer Games posted this on their Twitter profile:

A very un-futuristic countdown timer that counts down to 2017.

And secondly:

The image below was posted by Michael Condrey, a developer at Sledgehammer Games:

This image shows a Colt M1911 pistol, which was manufactured in 1911 and still used to this day. The M1911 pistol was used by U.S soldiers as a standard sidearm in WWI, WWII, Korean War and in the Vietnam War.

Obviously, nothing set in stone, this could just be a brilliant marketing strategy by Sledgehammer to get people talking about COD, and to be fair that wouldn’t surprise me. But these two snippets are all very modern when compared with recent COD leaks.
