Almost 30 years ago The Legend of Zelda was released for the NES! In all that time the game has suffered from a simple spelling mistake – the ‘Penninsula’ typo. This mistake is well known to fans of the game, as it has appeared on more than just the original NES console version. Every time The Legend of Zelda has been ported over onto a ‘newer’ console over the years – such as the Gamecube, Wii, 3DS and Wii, this typo has come along for the ride.
Not anymore though as Nintendo have finally decided to put it right – a mere 30yrs later.
It took them 30 years and two revisions, but the typo has been fixed 😆 pic.twitter.com/tpH8zxTmF6

Finally, you can enjoy Zelda with the correct number of ‘N’s’, BUT only if you happen to be one of the lucky few who managed to get their hands on a NES Classic.
