Mini Snes Classic Edition Is Coming September 29 With The Never Before Realeased Star Fox 2

Following up on the incredibly popular (and incredibly tiny) NES Classic Edition, Nintendo has announced the equally mini SNES Classic Edition. Launching September 29, the SNES Classic will cost $79.99 and comes pre-loaded with 21 games. They are:

Contra III: The Alien Wars

Donkey Kong Country

EarthBound

Final Fantasy 3

F-ZERO

Kirby Super Star

Kirby’s Dream Course

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

Mega Man X

Secret of Mana

Star Fox

Star Fox 2

Street Fighter 2 Turbo: Hyper Fighting

Super Castlevania 4

Super Ghouls ’n Ghosts

Super Mario Kart

Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars

Super Mario World

Super Metroid

Super Punch-Out!!

Yoshi’s Island

One of the most notable inclusions on the list is Star Fox 2 – which has never been released before. So hey, it only took 20 years, but it’s finally happening! You will have to beat the first level of the original Star Fox to unlock it, but I’d say that’s a small price to pay.

Also like its older sibling, the SNES Classic can be plugged directly into modern televisions via a HDMI cable. It also comes packaged with a second controller so you can enjoy the multiplayer games no fuss, no muss. About the only thing it doesn’t come with is an AC adapter for its USB power cable, which it should be noted, is required.
