Super Ghouls ‘n Ghosts

Arguably one of the hardest games ever released for the SNES, the frustration of Super Ghouls ‘n Ghosts may actually require one to use cheat codes to see the rest of the game. However, the code is a simple level select that requires one to use both controllers. Make sure Exit is selected with the 1P controller, then hold L and Start on the 2P controller. Then, press Start on the 1P controller to choose any level in the game.

Super Mario Kart

For all the fun of Super Mario Kart, there are only two cheat codes. The first one is a mere character shrink code. Highlight any character you want to use, then hold down Y and press A to shrink the character. Do it again to restore the character to normal size.

For the second cheat code, you need to be in the 2-player race screen or the Time Trial screen. The Mushroom Cup must be highlighted.

Special Cup – L, R, L, R, L, L, R, R, A

Super Mario World

This code doesn’t really give the players any advantage during the game, and requires you to defeat Bowser and rescue Princess Peach. During the cut scene where she is being freed, press L, R, X, Y and Up together to get an alternate ending sequence.

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island

Once again, the code doesn’t really help players progress through the game. At the level select screen, hold down Select and press X, X, Y, B and A.

Super Punch-Out!!

These codes don’t help the player progress through the game either. The first code lets you use Japanese characters for your name. Highlight “New Game” and press X and A together.

The second code lets you access the sound test. Wait for the Nintendo logo to appear and then hold L and R together on the 2P controller.
